When I was 3 years old I was playing with my great grandma’s chow chow puppies. I was clearly overstepping one of the puppy’s boundaries so he decided to put me in my place and bit me on my cheek. Most 3 year olds would cry, leave said puppy alone, be afraid even. Not this girl. The home video, yes, home video. I was born in the late 80s and definitely have home videos burned to dvd but originally on good old VHS tapes. Anyways, I digress. This did not deter me from trying to make that puppy love me.
Fast forward some years, not being specific to age myself, I am still living life trying to get all the animals to love me. I’m talking dreams of snow white-esque scenarios of birds landing on my shoulder and baby deer approaching me to let me pet them while I sing not out of tune at all. Feeding hummingbirds from my homemade visor decorated with hummingbird feeders is definitely on my bucket list.
I started out in the vet field and I absolutely loved my job! Being a tech was so fulfilling for me. Yes, I added more bites to my scoresheet. (Some trying to force the love and some just minding my own business). It was my dream job. The hard parts of saying goodbye to the goodest pup in the world to the best parts of cuddling the sweetest puppies ever!! Unfortunately burnout due to poor management outweighing poor pay and having a baby brought me to something new.

I wanted to keep doing good for all the furbabies out there, so I started my dog treat business in 2022. I set out to make treats and cakes that are healthier with no added sugars, ingredients that have benefits for all the furbabies and no added preservatives. I love doing this and I just want to keep going. I have so many ideas and I just want to share my knowledge and pet experiences with all of you. Or maybe more humbly, just you, mom. For now at least.
So I am starting this blog so that I can share my recipes, vet tips, training tips, helping hands and just fun ideas with you. So join me on this journey to make all the dogs in the world the happiest pups alive. Because let’s face it, they spend their entire lives trying to make us happy. The least we could do is return the favor.
